Memorial Day

Today we decided to BBQ for Memorial Day.  Aunt Carleen, Uncle Ben, and Aeris came over and we had a lot of fun!  The kids went swimming, had a water balloon fight, and had lots of fun outside!  Vince ended up having to get a new BBQ Pit...We scooped out the old one and the entire bottom fell out of it.  I guess 4 years is long enough for a cheap $20 pit!

Tae Kwon Do

Peyton and Brock love doing Tae Kwon Do!  We try to go 2 times on Tuesday and Thursday.  Mrs. Lori is an awesome teacher and has a lot of patients with the kids!  Peyton decided she did not want to wear her outfit today.  Hopefully they will stick with it and become black belts some day!

Preschool Graduation

I can't believe that Peyton is getting ready to start Kindergarten.  Peyton was all ready today for her Preschool Graduation.  She wanted to wear her pretty dress from Grandma Liz.  The class sung songs, said their ABC's, recited nursery rhymes, walked across the bridge and received their diploma's!  I have to say a special thank you to Ms. Jenny and Ms. Amanda for all of their great work!  Peyton has made huge progress and looks forward to going to school.  Hopefully this lasts for many more years.  She tells me that she is going to miss her school and her friends.  When Peyton started Pre-School she had over 60 IEP's and at graduation she had 0!!!!!

1st T-ball Game

This year the City of Pacific received a grant from the Red Bird Rookies Cardinal Care's Program.  This meant that the kids in Pacific, ages 5-8, could play for free.  They also received a Cardinal shirt, pants, and a hat.  Peyton decided that she wanted a matching bat and helmet.  We have been trying to have practices since March but only got in a handful with all of the rain we had.  Each team goes through their roster at least 2 times.  There are no "outs" and both teams win.  The kids each get 5 pitches from the coach and then if they are not able to hit the ball the use the "t" stand.  Peyton didn't have to use the stand at all!  After the game each kid received $1 and was able to buy something from the concession stand.

Safety Night

Tonight Peyton's school held a Safety Night for the kids.  The event had 3 different stations that they could visit.  The different stations were fire safety, water safety, and police safety.  Unfortunately, we were only able to see the fire safety because Peyton had a Kindergarten Orientation night that we went to.

Peyton Loves Being A Big Sister

Peyton absolutely loves being a big sister.  She asks to hold Gracey all of the time.  She doesn't care if she is sleeping, awake, or crying.  She is a great "little mommy!"

Brock Practicing Changing Diapers

Brock is really interesting in changing his baby sister's diaper.  So, to be safe we gave him some baby diapers and a baby doll and he went on his way changing diapers.  He will be a pro at it one day!

It's a GIRL!!!

We would like to welcome our new baby GIRL!  Her name is Gracey Ann Webb.  She was born on May 2, 2011 at 9:25 pm.  She was 6 lbs. 7 oz and 20 inches long.  She is absolutely beautiful!

Brock was really disappointed when he found out he had a sister.  He told Grandma Georgia that we needed to take her back and that he wanted a brother.  Once he saw her he changed his mind and loves her to pieces.  Peyton is in heaven and always wants to hold her.

It all started with checking into the hospital on Sunday night at 9 pm to start the induction.  Vince and I got a good night of sleep before the long day ahead of us.  Dr. Clancy was super busy on Monday so it was almost 2 pm before she was able to come in and see how things were going.  It was going very slow.  I was doing good and was comfortable as I could be for being in labor.  The nurses changed shifts at 7 pm and at that time I was still only dilated to 4 cm.  Since I had not had much change I decided to have the epidural.  We thought we were going to be in for a long night.  The goal was to have the baby by midnight.  To our surprise we were all wrong!  At 9 pm my nurse checked me again so we could give Dr. Clancy an update and the baby was right there...She was not going to wait any longer.  Dr. Clancy arrived and one push later..."IT'S A GIRL!!!!"  I do have to say that not finding out what we were having was the best feeling.  It really makes the saying "It's A Girl" mean more.  Toward that last few weeks I have the feeling that we were going to have another girl.
