Our 1st Circus

The Culpepper & Merriweather Circus came to Pacific this weekend to put on their Annual show.  This is that first year that we have gone.  Aunt Carleen and Aeris decided to go with us.  The kids had a good time eating their cotton candy and drinking their water.  There were clown's juggling, a tight rope act, dogs, a lion, tiger, and leopard.  We haven't decided on the big circus yet.  That will be in St.Louis in October.

Peryon's Kindergarten Round-Up

I can't believe that my little girl is starting Kindergarten this year.  Tonight was Kindergarten Round-Up.  We got to meet her teacher and see her classroom.  We started off in the gym and heard Mrs. Paul talk to us about Kindergarten and then she read a book with the kids on the floor.  After the book the kids went to the library with their teachers and watched "Franklin's New Friend," while us parents listened to the Counselor, Nurse, Bus Supervisor, etc...  Then after we were dismissed from the gym we went to the classroom and talked to the teacher for about 15 minutes.  When we were finished the kids came back to the classroom!  Peyton and I put all of her school supplies away and talked about the different things in the class!  She is growing up way to fast...I know she is ready but is mommy?

Pizza

Tonight we thought we would have some fun with dinner!  I used the bread maker to make homemade pizza dough from scratch and then the kids had fun making their own creations.

Gracey Loves to Sleep...

I sat Gracey the the big chair today for a minute to help the kids and when I turned around she had fallen right asleep.  She always has to have a blanket to grab onto when she sleeps.  It doesn't matter what blanket as long as she has one in her hands.

Bass Pro Shop & Lambert's Cafe

On our way to Branson we stopped at Bass Pro in Springfield so that the kids could see the fish and animals.  They even had a live alligator!  The kids sat on boats, 4-wheelers, saw fish, and "stuffed" animals.  Before we left the kids got to hold a record breaking fish!

4 of the 6 loved the bear

Really neat turtles

Is there anyone in there?

After Bass Pro we headed to Lambert's Cafe so the kids could catch a roll or 2!  Carolyn and Connor had a blast.  Robin was amazed with the size of the servings!  Her salad alone could have fed the entire table.  I bet it had 2 heads of lettuce in it!

Grandma Liz Has A Farm...(Branson Part 1)

Since we were all heading to Branson with Josh, Robin, and the kids we stopped and stayed the night at Grandma Liz's house.  This was the first time that the Pope's saw the farm.  In fact, Josh's GPS told him that "you are on your own..."  The kids loved seeing and feeding the cows and running around the farm.  We even got to go and see some horses down the street.  The kids had a huge sleep over in the front room while watching Anastasia.  When we got up the next morning we fed the cows one last time before heading to Branson!
